Spring is a clear sign of rejuvenated life after a long and cold winter. The plants and trees may have shed their leaves for the cold weather, but they’ll always come back for springtime. Our homes can be very similar. For example, during the winter we tend to do less around the house and make a run for our couches and a warm blanket right away. During the spring, you’re motivated to get so much more done with the beautiful weather. That’s why spring is a great way to start out with a bang! Here are 6 wonderful ways to revamp your apartment for springtime.
There is no better way to say, “Spring is here!” than a fresh new coat of paint. Spring means you can start opening up the windows and letting fresh air in, which is the ideal time to paint. During summer, the air can be too humid. At Woodmont Ridge, we have a unique program where residents can pay to have our painters come and paint an accent wall. Why not try a daring new color that makes a bold statement in your luxurious apartment?

2. Spring Clean Up
Spring is the time to get rid of all those unnecessary items lying around the house that you haven’t used in a while. After a long winter, allowing for some fresh new space around your apartment can be an amazing feeling. People always say, “out with the old and in with the new!” Once you’ve got rid of all your old stuff, it’s a good idea to do a big spring cleaning too. Try to dust and really clean around areas you usually don’t get to, such as under the refrigerator or kitchen pantry. Be sure to do a deep clean in the bathrooms, too.

3. Bring in a Houseplant
A houseplant is a great way to bring the fresh spring air into the house. You may use a houseplant as a centerpiece on your dining room table or as a beautiful addition to your windowsill. Houseplants can often brighten up the house and subconsciously cause you to be in a better mood.
4. Change Your Drapes
Take down those heavy winter drapes and bring in some shades that will let the sunshine in. Sheer curtains are a great look for the warmer seasons. This can instantly give a homier feel to your apartment and allow you to make the most of the weather.
5. Switch Around the Furniture
A fresh new furniture layout can give you a fresh start too. Everyone knows that after changing the furniture around, you can’t wait to get home to be in your “new” room! It’s a similar feeling to move-in day. With our large floor plans, dramatic 9’ ceilings, and contemporary style, you’ll have plenty of room to move around your furniture any way you want it.
6. Uncover your Outdoor Furniture
Spring means it is officially time to bring back your outdoor patio furniture for your private balcony or patio, depending on your floor plan. Now you can sit outside again in the morning with a cup of coffee or watch the sunset after work!
